In jazz and blues, a blue note is a note played at a slightly different pitch than the others. It’s slightly different, maybe unexpected and what gives those genres their unique sounds.

The Blue Note will explore the intersect of music (not just jazz!), activism and politics. I’m putting the finishing touches on the first issue, but wanted to thank folks who subscribed already. Keep an eye out for it sometime this week.
